Privacy Policy

Effective October 11, 2026

BOINGLE is a game made by CDBLOGIC (a sole proprietorship). This policy explains what information the game uses, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email cbracy@cdblogic.com.

The short version

What we collect, and why

1. On your device

Your progress (stars, coins, items, settings), a random anonymous player ID, and your screen name are stored in your browser's local storage so the game works offline. This stays on your device unless you sign in, make a backup code, or post to a leaderboard. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

2. Anonymous play stats (optional)

If "Share anonymous play stats" is on in Settings (it's on by default), the game sends small events tied only to your random player ID, never your name or email:

We use these to tune difficulty, see which features are used, and fix bugs. Turn them off any time in Settings.

3. Your account (optional)

If you sign in, we store your email address, a copy of your game progress, and your sign-in sessions (stored only as scrambled hashes). We email you a sign-in link; we don't use passwords. We don't send marketing emails.

4. Leaderboards

If you post a score, your screen name (or three-letter initials), your score, and any badge you choose to feature are shown publicly. Please don't use your real name. We may hide or change screen names that break our rules.

5. Purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us. We receive which pack you bought, the amount, a Stripe reference number, and which account it belongs to, so we can deliver your coins.

6. Backup codes, challenges and invites

A backup code stores a copy of your progress under that code. Challenge links store the level, initials and score. Invite links store a code tied to your player ID or account, and which players joined through it.

7. IP addresses

To stop spam and abuse (for example, too many sign-in emails), we use your IP address briefly and store it only as a salted, scrambled value that changes every day. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs for security.

What we don't do

BOINGLE doesn't access your camera, microphone, contacts or location, doesn't show ads, and doesn't sell or share your information for advertising.

Service providers

We use a few trusted services to run the game. They only use the data to provide their service to us:

Your choices and rights

Children

Anyone can play BOINGLE without giving us personal information. Signing in and buying coins are for people 13 or older (or a parent or guardian doing it for their child). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 gave us their email, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, store sign-in tokens only as hashes, and never handle card numbers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll let players know in the game.
